On The Voice of the Silence

About the Presentation

In this talk, we will consider Helen Petrovna Blavatsky's gem of Theosophy, The Voice of the Silence,  in the context of its deep spiritual meaning.  We will compare it to the aphorisms in Light on the Path by Mabel Collins and demonstrate their deep message to the seeker.  These two gems of Theosophy will be supported with quotes from the Bhagavad Gītā which was translated by Anne Besant, the second President of the Theosophical Society, who throughout her life was a Seeker of the Truth.

In the Bhagavad Gita Krishna explains to Arjuna the significance of the Aum:

(8:13) Aum, the one-syllabled Eternal, reciting, thinking upon Me, he who goeth forth, abandoning the body, he goeth on the highest path (translation by Annie Besant and Bhagavan Das 1905).
