The Radha Soami System of Philosophy and Spiritual Science
About the Presentation
This talk will focus on the teachings of Swami Ji Maharaj of Agra (Seth Shiv Dayal Singh – born August 25th, 1818, and departed this life on the 15th of June 1878). He is the Founder of the Radha Soami system of Philosophy and Spiritual Science. In his book Sar Bachan, Swami Ji Maharaj provides a gist of this science as follows:
- The Helpless Condition of Soul Swami Ji describes how we can break free from this cycle of birth and death, of the transmigration of the soul;
- The Vital Necessity of a Living Master the need to contact a living guide that can help us in reaching our true home. The reality of the soul – of us being in this creation, of the endless cycle of birth, death, old age, and disease;
- The Sound Current an explanation of the sound current – which has been referred to in many mystic teachings as the Logos, The Tao, Aum, the Word or the Audible Life Stream, and that it sustains the entire creation;
- The practice of Meditation Swami Ji provides a brief description of the techniques of stilling the mind and of ‘going within’.
About the Presenter
Marko Separovic is a highly experienced architect, planner, and urban designer whose skills have received international recognition. He is regularly sought after to design new cities and precincts in UAE, Dubai, Philippines and China. He is also passionate about music, song writing and recording and has developed both as a solo artist and has collaborated with friends. He has released a number of albums, including music in the styles of flamenco, and contemporary pop music. Behind all of these endeavours has been a keen interest in Indian Mysticism. This has led Marko to follow the Path of the Masters, meditation and an interest in comparative mystic organisations such as Sant Mat (that teach Surat Shabd Yoga – the yoga of light and sound) and the Theosophical Society.
