Principles of Meditation: raja yoga, the royal science.

The search for happiness has occupied the minds of many, sometimes in a vague way such as pining for life in a distant heaven, or through the hope of material riches such as found in an Eldorado. Dharma (Pali Dhamma) is etymologically derived from the Sanskrit root dhr, meaning to bear or support. Dharma, translated as duty, truth or religion, may be described as the only true means of happiness. What is Dharma and how is it to be the means to happiness ?
"For never can anything be amiss,
When simpleness and duty tender it".   Midsummer Nights Dream,  W. Shakespeare.
